Fall is in full force, but we’re already looking forward to the Spring/Summer ’23 season, thanks to New York Fashion Week. We have to wait a few months to wear the wardrobe, but we can show off the beauty looks right now. (Spoiler: Nineties influences prevailed. Fresh, no-makeup makeup dominated.) LimeLife played a major part in creating trends backstage at Rebecca Minkoff. Here are the most wearable looks and what you’ll need to DIY.
Next-Level Glow
You know that dewy sheen your skin has after a facial? The same resplendent glow is a look. “One of the most common trends we saw across the board at Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2023 was multidimensional radiance,” says LimeLife Global Director of Brand Elevation Jacob Hyzer. “To achieve this, it always starts with great skincare,” adds Hyzer, who led a team of LimeLife makeup artists backstage at the Rebecca Minkoff show.
Hyzer prepped skin with Glowing Green Toner Pads, followed by Green Smoothie Anti-Aging Cream mixed with Perfect Glow Drops to create light-catching moisture. The makeup was minimal – a light touch of creamy Perfect Foundation to even out skintone. To finish the look, he added highlighter to areas that naturally catch light: cheekbones, brow bones, center of the chin and bridge of the nose.

Pink Pouts
Pink is sticking around for a while, and we’re here for it. We saw pink on the eyelids as well as (more practically) on the lips. Give your pout a pop of fuchsia by priming lips with rich balm, then filling them in with a vivid pink pencil. Top with a light layer of lipstick tapped onto lips with a fingertip.

Bejeweled Beauty
Metallic studs will adorn more than accessories next spring. Models at Rebecca Minkoff wore bedazzled manicures and embellishments on their faces for a punk-inspired tough look. To get the edgy vibe without an actual piercing (that’s a big beauty commitment), use adhesive face studs available at craft stores.
Brown Smoke
Sultry chocolate shadow with shimmering smolder? Yes, please. Makeup artists reimagined rock ’n’ roll glamor with artfully blended browns. To achieve the elusive smoky eye, draw a thick line of deep brown eyeliner at the lash lines, then use a smudging brush to diffuse the pigment. Blend a metallic dark brown eyeshadow over lids, and build in layers to create shimmery dimension. Blend is your friend for this look. Swirl the blending brush over your shadow, moving up and outward to fade out pigment with a subtle gradient. For a modern Spring 2023 update, apply one coat of mascara to stain the lashes without adding volume.
