We try to think sustainably all the time, not just for Earth Month. But April is a great reminder of the small things we can add to our daily lives to be a little more eco-friendly. We’ve gathered this list of fun finds that have helped us to cut back on our impact. We hope they inspire you to get outside and enjoy the beauty of our home planet!
A chemical-free (and cute!) way to fluff and fold.
There’s nothing like a warm, fluffy towel straight from the dryer. But dryer sheets can contain some questionable chemicals and, since we toss them after one use, create more waste than necessary. Wool dryer balls, like these ones from LooHoo, are a reusable alternative. They tumble around with your laundry, gently softening clothes and can even reduce drying time. Plus, for every three-pack purchased, LooHoo donates to plant a tree. That’s an Earth Month win-win!
An invitation to explore.
Our favorite way to celebrate the earth is just to get out there and enjoy it! You don’t have to have any special gear or even think of yourself as particularly ‘outdoorsy’ to check out a new trail nearby. Check AllTrails for a great list of local hikes and walks, all rated by past hikers for difficulty and fun features. Bring your furry friend on dog-friendly trails, catch up with someone you haven’t seen in a while or just pop in your ear buds and treat yourself to a solo nature escape.
A safer option for an interior refresh.
Springtime has us itching to do some updates around the house, and there’s no quicker way to refresh a room than a coat of paint. We love Clare paint because it’s free of volatile organic compounds (or VOCs) that can pollute the air. The paint is even GREENGUARD Gold certified, which means it meets rigorous emissions standards and supports healthier indoor air. Beyond that, there are some gorgeous, moody colors that we can’t wait to get up on the walls. Maybe a dramatic home office in Current Mood or a soft, airy bathroom in Headspace?
An eco-chic reminder to stay hydrated.
Drinking the suggested amount of water is one of the best ways to boost your skin health from the inside out. We created a limited-edition glass water bottle to help you get your sips in while cutting back on plastic. Keep your bottle on your desk, your nightstand or anywhere close by for a daily reminder: Hydrate. Be amazing. Repeat!

A better way to BBQ.
With warmer weather comes one of our favorite perks of the season – impromptu barbecues and picnics with friends! If scrubbing dishes at the end of the night is the last thing you want to do, we hear you. Check out Chic Leaf’s collection of palm leaf plates and bowls that are 100% natural, zero-waste and compostable. Not to mention, they’re much more stylish than paper and plastic alternatives!
