Halloween Makeup Looks with Products You Already Own

We all know the feeling of finding an amazing Halloween makeup look, only to realize that you don’t own any of the makeup needed to make it happen. Or even worse, buying a ton of products to create a costume and never using them again. That’s why we wanted to gather a few looks that you can create using the makeup you already own – and that you’ll keep using November 1st and beyond.

Read on for some easy-to-create costume inspo!

Spider

This look is just festive enough for a small get-together (or hanging by yourself on your couch). Add an all-black outfit to go full-on black widow.

Step 1: Using your ring finger, dab Complete Concealer across your entire eyelid to create a smooth base.

Step 2: Use a dense eyeshadow brush like Large Shadow Brush #07 to swipe a bright shade of Perfect Eyeshadow across your upper eyelid. We love a Halloween-ready orange like #13 Centerfold or a vibrant berry pink like #11 Flash Dance.

Step 3: With a slightly smaller brush, like Angled Shadow Brush #09, smudge the same shade along your lower lash line.

Step 4: Draw a dramatic cat-eye flick with Perfect Eyeliner Pen.

Step 5: It’s time to create the cobweb! Still using your Perfect Eyeliner Pen, choose whichever eye feels more comfortable and draw a straight line down from your lower lash line, right at the center of your eye. Draw a slightly long straight line a little outside of that, and a third straight line between the second and your cat-eye flick. Drawing upward-facing curves, connect the three lines until you have a cobweb effect.

Step 6: What’s a cobweb without a spider? A little closer to your inner corner, draw another straight line with a circle at the end. Draw a few thin legs, and your spider friend is complete!

Step 7: Finally, finish the entire look with a few coats of Making Waves Waterproof Mascara for a look that lasts through the night!

Vampire

This is one of the most fun Halloween makeup looks, since it can go totally glam or totally goth depending on the colors you choose for your eyeshadow and lipstick!

Step 1: Get that signature vampire skin with a slightly-too-light shade of Perfect Foundation or Perfect Color Powder (it’ll be the perfect highlight for everyday contour later). Using a dry Blenderful, blend the color across your forehead and down your nose.

Step 2: Grab your Perfect Bronzer and a precise brush like the Highlight & Contour Brush #18. Load up the brush and brush the bronzer under your cheekbones, creating a dramatic, chiseled look. No need to worry about blending today!

Step 3: Using black and grey Perfect Eyeshadows like #09 Dial It Black and #39 High Koala-ty, create your favorite smoky eye. We have some great tutorials based on eye shape here!

Step 4: After you’ve applied the smoky eye, choose a red or copper Perfect Eyeshadow shade like #44 Eternal Flame or #24 Pretty Penny. Using Small Eyeshadow Brush #20, blend this accent shade into your lower lash line. Top it off with Perfect Mascara on the top and bottom lashes.

Step 5: If there were ever a time for blood-red lips, this is it! Start by lining your lips with Enduring Lip Liner in #07 Cabernet. Then layer on your favorite red Perfect Lipstick – we love #103 Paint the Town and #104 Red Haute. Use Bold Lip Brush #12 to blend the darker lip liner into the lipstick for a diffused effect.

Step 6: No vampire is complete without blood-stained lips (and fangs)! The fangs are up to you, but we have a simple trick for creating stage blood out of the products you already have. On the back of your hand, mix together a bit of your red Perfect Lipstick with a glossy red lip color like Perfect Lip Gloss in Love. Using the lip gloss applicator, drip a bit of the concoction off the outside of your lip!

Black Cat

What would a Halloween makeup list be without the classic black cat? It’s our go-to last-minute look, but it’s easy to ramp up with a fun faux-fur vest and ears!

Step 1: The first step of the perfect black cat is, obviously, the perfect cat-eye liner. Using Perfect Eyeliner Pen, create a series of dots along your upper lash line, with the last dot outside your outer corner, in line with your brow. All that’s left to do is connect the dots! Need more tips? Check out this post for other great cat-eye and eye makeup hacks.

Step 2: Pile on the mascara. Go with Perfect Mascara or Making Waves Waterproof Mascara if it’s looking like it’s going to be a long night!

Step 3: Using Enduring Eyeliner Pencil in #03 Black, sketch on your whiskers and a heart shape at the tip of your nose.

Step 4: For a little extra glam, a black (or nearly black) lip is the way to go! We love Enduring Lip Color in Berry Cocoa or Chocolate Ganache for this look. If you don’t have a dark color in your kit, line and fill in your lips with your black Enduring Eyeliner Pencil.

Wednesday Addams

Pair this look with braided pigtails and a bored pout to channel our favorite member of the Addams family!

Step 1: Choose a shade of Perfect Foundation or Perfect Color Powder that’s a few shades lighter than your skin. Using a dry Blenderful for maximum coverage, apply all across our face.

Step 2: Go crazy with the Perfect Translucent Powder! Apply with a clean, dry Blenderful for maximum matte effect.

Step 3: Create a hollow in your cheeks using Perfect Bronzer and the Highlight & Contour Brush #18. Pull the color from under your cheekbones up into your hairline.

Step 4: Following our tutorials based on your eye shape, build up a dramatic smoky eye. We love the classic black and grey using Perfect Eyeshadows like #09 Dial It Black and #31 Ready, Jetset Go, but accents of purple are especially spooky. Try adding in #23 Gilded Lily as your mid-tone shade.

Step 5: Line your upper and lower lashes with plenty of Enduring Eyeliner Pencil in Black. Using Angled Liner Brush #13, smudge the liner a bit before it sets.

Step 6: Add a few coats of Making Waves Waterproof Mascara for lashes that are dark, shiny and long-lasting.

Step 7: Complete the look with a rich, matte lip color. We think Enduring Lip Color in Berry Cocoa would be right up Wednesday’s alley!

Pop Art

Whether you’re a lover of old-school comic books or just want a costume that pairs with whatever you’re wearing right now, this look is for you!

Step 1: Using Perfect Eyeliner Pen, draw on a dramatic cat-eye. Check out our tips and tricks (like using a spoon as a stencil) here! Use the tip of the pen to draw a few extra lashes along your bottom lash line.

Step 2: Give your brows a geometric, cartoon-like shape using Enduring Eyeliner Pencil in Black. Draw straight lines that go a bit beyond your natural arch and fill them in completely.

Step 3: Using the same Enduring Eyeliner Pencil in Black, draw thin black lines to call out your facial features. Draw a line under your cheekbones, along your jaw, on your chin and along the sides of your nose.

Step 4: Get that perfectly inked pop art look by drawing small red dots across your entire face. Using a red shade of Enduring Lip Liner (#04 True Red works well), place the point on your skin, twist and pull off for perfectly round dots. Space them evenly, about a centimeter apart.

Step 5: Use the same red Enduring Lip Liner to fill in your lips completely with color and line them with Enduring Eyeliner Pencil in Black. For an extra cartoony touch, give your lips dimension by drawing a small, light-colored rectangle off to one side. Your lightest Complete Concealer shade and the precise Bent Liner Brush #15 will do the trick!
