Everything You Need for September

"Goodbye Summer. Hello Autumn"

Step into the new season with a fresh, crisp outlook.

Even though fall isn’t technically the new year, it really feels like it to me. After all, it’s when you can really feel the seasons truly shift and it’s when back to school is in full effect. For me, it’s a time to fully reset my goals and dreams, which means journaling more and setting a clear intention to get more sleep so I can enjoy sweater weather fully rested feeling, and looking my freshest.

Here’s what’s on my radar for the month.

Lunya’s Sleeping Mask This heavenly silk sleep mask is an A+ in my book. It’s not only so cozy and makes me feel like a million bucks when I get in bed, it’s machine washable, meaning I feel like I can treat myself and take care of any microbes and germs that make their way into the bedroom.

The Testaments by Margaret Atwood Whether you learned of The Handmaid’s Tale through the show or the book, published more than 30 years ago, you’re likely as excited as I am for the long-awaited sequel, which promises a dramatic conclusion to the original story.

Midnight Oil Collection LimeLife’s cleansing oil and facial serum duo is made with Marula oil, chock full of antioxidants, and works wonders while you sleep. Can you sense a theme here? I told you I’m all about resetting this season!

Downton Abbey the movie I was always a Lady Sybill fan myself, so am personally crushed she won’t be part of this big screen adaptation of the hit BBC show. But that’s not to say I can’t wait to see what Lady Mary, Lady Edith and the rest of the Crawleys are up to in the film! Come for the British drama, stay for the costumes (or the other way around, whatever you prefer)!

Audiobooks I love to read, but I can’t always find the time to sit and dedicate my eyes to a page for hours on end, which is why I’ve loved Libro.fm, an audiobook company that makes it possible for you to buy audiobooks directly from your independent bookstore. Some of my favorite audiobooks to listen to are those narrated by their authors, like Tina Fey and Mindy Kaling’s memoirs. Or, for a fiction take, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern is narrated by Jim Dale (who’s well known for narrating the Harry Potter books).

Yoga Foster I learned about Yoga Foster when I picked up a copy of The Yoga Journal at the airport on the way to catching my latest flight. It’s a program that provides training, videos, lesson plans, and yoga mats to schools to help students and teachers learn yoga and boost self-care and wellness. It’s a national community and is something LimeLife couldn’t be more fond of.

Repping your team! I’m a big fan of college football. I just can’t get enough of the spirit. And American Eagle’s Tailgate brand has amazing gear for fans. Sweatshirts, sweatpants, cute tops, and more. It makes game day even more fun.

The Good Place The fourth and final season of Mike Schur’s masterpiece will air at the end of the month. The cast is led by Kristen Bell and Ted Danson, among other incredibly talented actors Manny Jacinto, Jameela Jamil, D’Arcy Carden, and William Jackson Harper. If you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s worth bingeing the first three seasons, on Netflix now. The show’s premise sounds kooky —  recently deceased people navigate the afterlife, and what it means to be “good” or “bad” — but watch through the entire first season and you will not regret it.

  2. Yes the good place is where it’s at! So sad it’s coming to an end! And midnight oil has legit transformed my skin! I’m slightly obsessed! 💗

  3. I love the midnight oil set. It’s one of my favorite products you have. I feel like I’m spoiling myself little when I go to be and put the black mask on my eyes for a restful night sleep. To wake up refreshed and my skin feels amazing. Great article.

  4. This was so fun to read! Ok, I’ve seen that show on Netflix but never watched it. Now you’ve got me curious. Also…yes! Can’t wait for Downton Abby!!!
