The Met Gala, also known as the Met Ball, is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. It is also unofficially a lavish costume party for celebrities to step onto the red carpet and out of their comfort zones when it comes to their fashion, and better yet, beauty style choices. This year’s beauty looks were just as impressive and unique as the gowns and can easily be recreated for any occasion (if you don’t frequently get the invite to Balls). I dub these looks the Best of the Ball.
Best Cat Eye
You can never go wrong with a modern day Audrey Hepburn look. This combination of perfectly winged liner and a matte pink pout is better than Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Best Bold Lip
This Tangerine Queen complimented her bold lip with bronzed cheeks and showed us that orange really is the new black. P.S. We’re Zen-DIE-ing for her skin.

Best Natural Beauty
Elle Fanning, AKA Cinderella, is the definition of natural beauty. A subtle swipe of blush, mascara, and gloss was all she needed to get ready for the ball. It is refreshing to see a girl her age embracing natural beauty. I hope she got home before the clock struck midnight!

Best Trend
Lily Collins flawlessly executed three trends in one with this striking vampy look. Bold brows, lengthy lashes, and a deep red lip resulted in a trend trifecta we all need to try.

Best Use of Color
Emily Ratajkowski’s was a makeup masterpiece with a two toned shadow look paired with peach glossy lips.

Best Glam
We are jealous of Behati Prinsloo for two (two hundred…) reasons: One, she is married to Adam Levine and two, her makeup is stunning. Her rose gold shimmering lash line paired with a nude lip is the perfect fresh look for spring and the best way to awaken tired eyes.

Best Brows
Riley Keough’s eyebrows are a work of art that warrant their own exhibit in The Met. Just saying. Her powerful and perfectly groomed brows stole the spotlight of this look with neutral eyes and a nude lip.

Best Everything.
A+ to Selena Gomez who is now (un)officially the Queen of hot pink eyeshadow.

Wow the looks are amazing. ❤️❤️
I loved Selena’s makeup. I also really like Zendaya’s lip colour. 🙂
